The new Joes are out and I only got two TRU exclusives which look so cool! I got Spirit Iron Knife which the figure is sculpted after Billy of the original Predator movie and Quick Kick who is sculpted to the image of Bruce Lee. TRU charging 7.49 a figure sucks!!! I'm waiting for a sale to buy up alot of the new Joes whichever store does it first.

I was at my local WalMart today to buy some motor oil /filter for my car and I checked out the toy section after thinking of this new Joe line. Didn't find any but noticed the new Star Wars figures with the retro-cards and looks sorta like the 25th anniversay Joes. BG, have you bought any of these?

No they charge like 8 to 10 each for those retro cards and really it's just the same stuff they have been putting out so I have little interest in those till I find a sale. I did pic up a K-Mart Exclusive Jodo Kast figure that cost me 9.53 after tax. It's a shame that K-Mart got such a cool figure and they charged extra for it.

It's a shame, it seems that these figures are not even for the kids anymore but more geared toward the toy collectors. Granded too that Star Wars has no movie out so this does keep the spirit of the series alive.

It's true most people I see buying are adults and without a cartoon series for any toyline it just doesn't have the draw like stuff did back in the 80's when everything got a toon. I've tried to get kids into the stuff but they just favor the video games over toys.

Been finding Wave 2 already of the new GI Joe POC line and am loving the detailing to this line. I'm impressed with this sculpter and hope they keep him around for awhile.

BG- I was curious, how many of the original 93 Kenner Star Wars figures do you have? Do you have alot of the 1977-1985 figure line?

Actually from the old Star Wars lines I don't collect and probably just have a handful. The only old figures I have is of the 80's and 90's GI Joes. I'm just a collector of pretty much any 3 3/4 line that makes a quality figure, cause I still get the high of seeing a cool action figure like I did when I was a kid and still have the want. Those things things and Affliction shirts are my current drug cause I just can't get enough.

This past weekend I found the new Thor movie figures and Pirates of the Caribbean "On Strange Tides" figures which both are 3 3/4 lines. Both lines cost me 8 to 13 dollars each but I had a hunger for some new figures and bought a handful. There should be some Thundercat figures coming soon with the toon and movie to come about.

It's anime but toned down on the big eyes.

Picked up my first Tron Legacy figure Clu and it's not too shabby of of a fig. The only problem I have is that they were way overpriced from the beginning and I got 2 on sale for 6 bucks which is what they should have been in the first place. I think alot of lines could do so much better if they just have a reasonable price but it seems like most are destined to fail with current prices of 8 to 12 dollars now. I did get the light cycle and it wasn't even worth the 9 bucks I paid for it, very cheap plastic not like the old school cycle of the 80's.

I don't know how kids can collect figures like we did back in the day. What is the least expensive figures out now?
