So how close is Bonds to breaking Hank Aaron's record? Last I heard he was two homers away. I think he is like 3 or 4 from breaking the record and I haven't seen sportscenter tonight so he could be closer?

I was a little kid in 1974 when he overtook Babe Ruth's 714 and don't remember it. With Bonds and the steriod cloud, it just doesn't feel right.

I'm one of the people that doesn't care really cause most of the guys were doing steriods during that period including pitchers who just don't get the mention on this. My feeling is if they weren't tested for it then it wasn't illegal to do so anything goes back in the 90's to the last couple years. I've notice alot of guys slendering down and losing the power numbers but they don't get the press cause they aren't breaking any records or up to news status. I think in the next 5 to 10 years you will hear alot of players coming out on what they did or who they saw do it.

So Bonds has tied the record and the next one breaks it so I'm wondering what his Rookie Card is worth cause I'm sitting on a few of them and I haven't seen a Baseball Becket in years.

Well Bonds broke the record last night and it was a pretty shot too. It was funny cause the guy that got it was mobbed but problaby will be well worth it in dollar value.

He hit another one tonight so the record continues! Do you think he'll retire after this season or go for #800? It's looking likely he will return for another year cause he is 60 or more hits from 3000 and like only 19 RBIs for 2000 in his career plus he is still a very solid player. I would like to see him in the American league where he can DH and in that way see him more. Maybe the Yankees would show interest???

The season is month to closing and Boston has the lead in the AL East by 6 games and will be playing the Yankees soon so definitely those are games worth watching! Even if they don't catch Boston the Yankees still have a chance at the Wildcard to get into the playoffs.

Boston now only has a 2 and a half win lead over the Yankees from 7 last month. The end of the Baseball season is at the end of the month I believe and last year they blew a 5 game lead to the Yankees in the last month so I'm afraid this could happen again!

Boston and the Yankees are in the playoffs so once again a show seems likely which is one of the best rivalrys in all of sports. Boston won the division and I beleive they will be playing the Angels in the playofss but I'm not totally sure on that yet.

BG, do you follow the Washington Nationals? They seem to be starting off pretty good this year. My (somewhat) local Baltimore Orioles have been doing pretty good too. I hope they can at least get a winning season after fifteen years.
