My wife and I just went to see it too...we thought it was a lot better than we were expecting. My knowledge of GI Joe comes from the British Action Force background (Action Force was the British equivalent that then tried to join the two product lines together over here and it was a lot different) so it was interesting to see the Hollywood take on it (and obviously the American History)...as for where Destro came from...well I've lived all over Scotland and I've yet to hear that accent...

Same here, I had heard many complain about it so I went in pretty pessimisticly. I had hoped that they would have added a little more quality filler between all the action to build the characters. It was hard seeing the Baroness with an American English accent instead of her Eastern European one in the cartoon. I didn't think her connections with Cobra Commander was needed. So do you think Eccleston was hamming it up a little with the accent? I guess that's Hollywood for you. His accent was much more profound then let's say Gordon Brown's. I heard alot about Action Force when I was more active in the GIJoe community. One thing I did like about the movie was that the 'Joe were the best of the world in their speciulties, not just the US military. Some of the updates were needed.

Does anyone plan to see James Cameron's Avatar? Looks good, though not making plans to see in theater.

Does anyone plan to see James Cameron's Avatar? Looks good, though not making plans to see in theater. I'm kind of interested in the 3D effects I've been hearing about. I saw an interview with James Cameron on Charlie Rose the other day and seems to be an interesting concept for the story.
