I heard about Michael Jackson's death at work yesterday and didn't believe them at first. At firstI was like I really didnt care too much. But it does kinda suck. He was a weirdo freak, but he was a killer performer in his day.

It's certainly very unfortunate. He was a true genius. He had such an impact on those like myself growing up in the 1970's and 1980's. I can't say I'm a huge fan or anything, but I liked alot of his work from the Jackson 5 until the late-1980's.

Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, and now Billy Mays. Maybe this thread should be called The passings of the week of June 22-28, 2009.

I've retitled this in honor of recently deceaded celebrities...since so many are dying as of late.
Karl Malden, 97. I grew up whiching The Streets of San Franscicso and his American Express adverts. I loved him in Patton and in On the Waterfront and A Streetcar Named Desire. I always liked the 1970's Quinn Martin crime shows.
I'm also a fan of the old Bristish comedy Are you being serived? with the passing of Mollie Sugden, 86.
