Sorry i come in here and just leave but i shouldnt even get online. Also my real job is about to end. I have to look for real work. I need a punching bag at this point in my life. something i sketch today.  |

Nice work on the hat I like how the detailing is done. You seem firm on using limited colors with your pics why is this?

concept art. i limit color. I do these in one setting with ink pens from work  I only do full color and show the whole picture later, I start on a small palette. In fact i may use subtle sepias/desaturated colors in the interiors and full blown color for covers. I like the grittyness that a ball point pen does. I want this book to feel old and grainy but with a splash of bold colors here and there. I dont want slick inks and polish very saturated colors. that gives the appearance of newness to the art....not fitting for this book maybe a futuristic book. |
