Has anyone seen Legend of Korra? It's the sequel to Avatar. I've watched a few episodes and really like it.

I haven't watched a full episode but have seen bits and pieces of what's been out thus far. It's certainly a well made cartoon with great character development and world-building. I never followed Avatar:Last of the Airbenders too much but do know of it. Both series are a creative and a breath of fresh air in a realm of retreads and reboot.

I recently watched all twelve episodes of first season of Avatar: Legend of Korra. It was amazing cartoon. The world building, character design is top notch. I was so highly impressed with that it was hard at times to get into the actual characters. Overall I liked the characters. Korra was pretty good. I felt more depth was needed to really make the viewer connect with her struggle. I didn't like her voice too much, just didn't sound like a seventeen-year-old girl but a thirty-something woman. I was always under the impression that the bending (Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Metal, Blood, etc) was more a part of martial arts but it seemed to be more like super heros "powers" in this series. I'd hate to be an Equalist in this universe. It sucked to be them.
Characters I liked were Tenzin, Lin BeiFong, Amon, and Asami. I hope they appear more in next season's episodes. I found the story overall pretty good. Certainly entertaining for the demographics of this series. I found the ending a little weak with regards to Korra getting her Bending "powers" back. Again, I think the character didn't struggle enough.
A true surprise indeed. I'll look forward to next years season.

I didn't like the ending of this season too much either but I think it will make more sense next year. I didn't like how Korra acted toward Bolin and basically steeling Mako away from Asumi. Mako was a jerk.
Yeah being a non-bender would suck. Did you like the end of Amon and Tarrlok? I thought it was so sad but needed.

I watched most of the Avatar: Last of the Airbender series over the past few weeks. Quality work indeed. I knew of it when this series was new but thought it would be more geared toward the 6-11 year-old demo but it's well written, smart without being too full of itself. I think I like this series even over the current Korra series. I just felt Aang and company were easier to bond with. The artist work on this series is amazing and I am embarrassed I didn't follow this series until so recently.

I didn't follow this story until late in Aang's travels. What do you think of Azula? I'm curious. You also give female characters alot of attention.

I knew her before watching the series because of the many fan-arts and so on. I was a little disappointed with how straight evil she was played, she had more potential but still a cool character. Bad girls are always fun if done right.

Has anyone seen the new episodes from book 2? Odd you mention that K, I did watch the first two while I was convalescing from some dental surgery earlier this week. I'll watch more before giving any input but as I said earlier a well made franchise.

Have you seen Book 3? They started last week. Yes, I saw the first three episodes the other day. I like how this season is starting then the last year. Still one of the best new cartoons/animes out there.

What did you think of the last two episodes of this book? I've been loving this season. The Red Lotus are the best villains so far. I haven't been able to catch the last two eps so I'm eager to see them

I liked P'Li's death, wow! Korra sure was looking bad in the final scenes, in a wheelchair and pretty messed up. There is a great balance with this series which never looses me. I look forward to the next book/season.
