I have recently become a Thrift store hunter looking here and there for cool things to find. Mostly I find things to customize but have many pleasant and valuable finds. Does anyone else do thrift shopping here?

I usually only pick-up basics at thrift stores such as trash bags and bleach. Do they have a good toy section? Ar you talking about Dollar General and Family Dollar stores?

I'm talking about thrift stores second hand goods donated and then resold. I've found vintage Star Wars figures, Knights, assortments of action figures, and so much more. A lot of secondary stuff I use in my custom backgrounds come from thrift store finds. |

This weekend I found another valuable 80s Stomper this time it being a blue Toyota truck. I also found a bunch of 70s Adventure People stuff, 70s Deetail Knights, and a few other things. This Stomper I found wasn't working so I cleaned the battery contacts and freed the lock in the wheels which got it working again. Last hunt was an interesting one I found, bad condition 80s MOTU figures(Cyclone, Two Bad, and Tongue Lasher), incomplete Silverhawk Monstar, some Thundercat figure, and Penny Racers 240 Z and Corvette. Modern 4 inch Fornite figures and a 6 inch Batgirl and weird Batman. I've been catching a lot of 70s and 80s stuff lately.

Modern 4 inch Fornite figures and a 6 inch Batgirl and weird Batman. I've been catching a lot of 70s and 80s stuff lately. Do you think most of this is stuff people find in their attics and just want to get rid of it? It certainly is easier then putting it on Ebay if one don't have an account or the time. Are there many Star Wars or GI Joe action figures in these shops? |

I assume the downfall to many of the old GIJoe action figures are those internal rubber bands that decay over time and use. I'm sure many people who didn't know they can be repaired simply toss them in the trash. LOL, even my heavily used Star Wars and GIJoe figures are in boxes under strict orders not to be tossed. I have some old boxing to some of them too but the Silverfish (bug) have eaten parts of them. |

Even as a kid I knew how to repair them back in the day. I made customs of Mad Max and many other figures by just mixing parts. That influence is why I do customs to the day. Yes those rubber bands and thumbs broke a lot back then and even now the cheap Chinese metal hooks are breaking from the rubber band stress but most of those parts are easily replaceable. What I want most to find on my Thrift store hunts is Battle Beasts, Mega Bloks King Arthur figures, and some old Transformers in good condition of course.

Last weekend I found a M.A.S.K. Condor motorcycle but it's missing the windshield, still bought it though for only 4 bucks.

Found like two Knights to work with customs on the weekend and some vintage Star Wars stuff in particular I found a Snowspeeder thingypit and one of those old Republic ships that were metal on the smaller side but it was incomplete. Also found some Dragons to use with my customs.

Lame hunting this week I found an old Star Wars figure but not in great shape. Got a few pics of my Bounty Hunters down but haven't written their bios yet. Did win multiple Mega Construx figures lot so I'll have more stuff to work with soon.
