I too like the screaming warrior and the eye dynamic on the bottom pic. You should really invest in a nice marker set to help your art look even better!

I appreciate the comment, Bayushi! Funny you mention that cause I'm gonna grab me a set of some good markers here soon. Either that or a new tablet and get my lazy ass back into photoshop. Or both haha.

Or both haha. Online is probably your least expensive route for markers. I buy mine through www.dickblick.com www.dickblick.com/products/prismacolor-premier-double-ended-art-markers/ www.dickblick.com/products/copic-original-markers/ You may have a Blick store nearly to compare the prices. Photoshop these days can be tricky. I still use CS5 but now there is CC/Creative Cloud that is something like $20/month. I don't like the monthly subscription plan so I have stuck with the old version which works just fine for me. If you can use your old version, you'll be fine. I plan to use my CS5 for as long as I can. There are cheaper alternatives and even free programs such as gimp.

You read my mind haha. Yeah, I was thinking about just using my old PS that I used years ago. I just gotta pick up a new tablet.

I just gotta pick up a new tablet. May I ask, what did you use to draw your recent pieces show last week? The soul of your work shined through. If I can be of any help with getting you back into the drawing groove please let me know. I draw almost every day I have off work. I'd like to see more additions to Murzim's clan to tackle Taketoshi or some additions to Kurokawa's clan as well. I need to draw some of that aspect of the universe soon too. More of your Einlanzer creation would be cool too. You had so many cool ideas with that, just wild. Whatever comes of it, it's good to see you here.

Thank you for the kind words and encouragement, my friend! I appreciate that. I used an "H" Royal graphite pencil and Prismacolor colored pencils. My sketchbook is so thick and I'm the type of guy that doesn't want to pull pages out of it to get a better scan. Thus I'm left with somewhat shoddy scans that don't show the entirety of the detail I put into the work. Hahaha. As for new characters and work I've actually been looking to design some more OC's. So I'll try and get a few done up for Murzim and/or Kuro. I've also been looking to redesign Einlanzer and that whole world. Just gotta stop being lazy.

I don't know of this will help but I could start a "Sketch Jam" thread here of daily sketches of characters or concepts in their most raw form. I've seen this done of other boards and it can be productive and fun. I'll draw some sketches early next week to share. I look forward in seeing what you create.

Ok here's a 10 minute landscape challenge I did with acrylics. I really screwed up on the blending so the foggy white in the middle looks terrible. Was fun to do though. This is my day one of Inktober submission. Ring was the word and so I drew a "Ring Knight". Markers baby! Day 2 of Inktober. Word was mindless so I did a rainbow sherbet mind leak

Very cool Galius! So you're in an Inktober contest? I know several artist doing Inktober pieces. I like your 10 minute landscape. Fog is so hard to do over colors with traditional mediums. How large of a piece is this, if I may ask? I do dig your first two Inktober entries. The 'mindleak' piece could be an album cover. Glad to see your marker work.

Yeah me and some local artists are doing Inktober. It's been fun so far. Some pretty cool entries. The painting is 8x8, but I think for the next challenge I'm gonna drop it to a 6x6 canvas. Mainly because I don't have a whole lot of paint. Hahaha you are right that would make a pretty interesting album cover.

I love seeing an artist creative juices flowing.
