Picked up a Huion Kamvas 13 a week back and this is my first piece on it. Really just a speed paint/get used to the program and tablet piece. This tablet is great though and it was only $225 on amazon. Hope you all are well. coincidance lyrics

Great work Galius! I'm very glad to see your work. It's even cooler to see you here and with a Taketoshi avatar. I look forward to seeing what you create with your new tablet. BTW, how long does a speed-painting such as this take to do? Does the tablet have textures and brushes to work with? I notice the brushwork in the piece and was curious.
It's great having you here!

Thanks buddy! Yeah, I figured a change was in order cause that Einlanzer avatar was pretty rough and old looking. This one probably took a bit over an hour. Well, the tablet just shows what I have on my monitor but is also pressure sensitive and has a stylus. All the brushes and stuff are a part program I use, Clip Studio Paint. It's a great piece of equipment.

I should have bought a better video card. I'm just old school but I an eager to see how your work turns out. I may have to give it another go. Yeah, even though that Einlanzer avatar was your first I did like it and the story ideas you had for that universe. I hope you revisit that universe and do more Einlanzer art with your latest skills and tech. I'm also down for added character concepts for the Taketoshi/Kurokawa part of the series.

Yeah I used to have an old Wacom tablet that didn't have a screen on it. That's how I did the Taketoshi portrait and all that older stuff. This tablet has a 13 inch screen on it. It's a really great piece of equipment and it wasn't that expensive all things considered. I will most certainly be re-designing Einlanzer and some of those characters as well as some other concepts. Same goes for Kuro and the gang. .

Some of the art programs are way too expensive for hobbyist or those not working professionally. I would like to see a fourth generation of Einlanzer. I think the piece that is in your sig is the third and you old avatar was the first but I believe there was another, a second. You have great ideas there and I hope to see more of what that world is about. If you are up for more Kuro and company submissions just let me know. I'm eager to draw that group again too. I was just thinking of Murzim and his current state the other day while daydreaming. It's just great hearing from you again my friend.

The programs can indeed be quite expensive, but most of them have a subscription service now so you don't have to drop 3 to 4 hundred all at once. There will definitely be some revamped Einlanzer and Einhander pieces. I actually have some sketches from a while back where I already sorta changed them up. I'd also like to do some more Kuro and co. and Toshi and co. stuff too. Maybe a even a few new characters.

I use Photoshop CS5 which I bought in 2011 for about $700. I do prefer this method even though it's pricey but I am not a professional and if I subscribed to the Creative Cloud it would be over $200 a year. At some point I'll have to go that route but for now I will setting for my CS5. I've always used Photoshop for my digital needs so I'm just accustomed to it. Very cool! I'd like to know more about Einhander as I do forget how he fits into the story with any great detail. I do remember Einlanzer had many foes but had a creator. I really have to revisit your old postings about his universe. Do you have a scanner as well? So many of your pencils works help draw out characters like Taketoshi and Kuro. I can bounce some ideas off for you regarding where Taketoshi and Kuro are at in the universe at this time. I may do some stories here regarding that too. Murzim is still searching for his blinded daughter Lyn who has left Kuro and Golden Tusk to fight in the Marsh Wars for income and to hopefully find her father. Kuro and Tusk are training and living in a mountain cave. Taketoshi is ready to roam the countryside after months of laying low in one of his village safe-houses with one of his ladies. I could see Taketoshi looking for some warriors of the blades, sword warriors, to be sent to find Kuro and to being him back to him for training under his harsh code. Like Gogon, the character I created for this part of the universe, Taketoshi has a wealth of contacts of hardened warriors of the sword that would gladly join him on his quest for blood and twisted honor on the road. Kuro who spent years within his father clan knows of what a monster his father is and wants no part of it and has found peace and friendship with Golden Tusk as he trains.
