I was just wondering what size do you draw your pieces/characters? I usually use a 9x12 piece of 80lb paper, but my actually pieces only take up about a third to half of the total space. I've always been told I draw small.......maybe it's just may way to get more use of a sheet of paper.

I tend to use A4 or A5 paper - but my wife tells me that doesn't mean much outside Britain ha ha

Practice is going fairly well but I'm also coming to the conclusion that I've developed my style over 15 years - why should I all of a sudden try my hand at realism now ha ha. I think I'm going to stick with my own style and every so often draw a more detailed piece. After all - I'm not making a living out of my art and so I should do what I find fun right? So basically I'd expect to see some of my older - character design sketch style coming back. I am going to finish that Chin Mao Bei piece though.
Of course I just bought the A-Team on DVD and nothing can distract me more than the A-Team ha ha.

Of course I just bought the A-Team on DVD and nothing can distract me more than the A-Team ha ha. I understand fully. After doing something so long, you know your artistic "groove". I had a certain style I drew back in the 1980's, but I decided in 2001 I wanted to make my character much more interesting and have spent nearly seven years trying to give them a more realistic look, but to keep my "style" intact. Some of my character worked very well over that time, but some others couldn't adapt well. Of all of my art over the past 20+ years, the stuff from 2001-2004 I'm most embarrassed with since it's a mix of old style and new style and looks weird. I'm kinda proud of the 1980's/1990's works even they lack detail and colour. Gotta love the A-team! Did you get one of the seasons on DVD?

Yeah I know exactly what you mean - I just realised that style was more interesting to me than realism. Ha ha I just picked up the last three seasons cheaply - now I have all five...and Jenn is none to happy about it.

Your stuff is really amazing. I remember that last season when Robert Vaughn was their employer?? I wish George Peppard hadn't died, an A-Team reunion would have been cool.

Yeah - I must be in the minority though because I liked the last season too (apart from Frankie Santana). I'm not so sure about the reunion movie - the Man from Uncle one was pretty bad and the Rockford Files ones weren't great either - still I guess we'll never know. As for next year's movie - I'll hold my breath.
Thanks - I like my style too - I just felt it may be missing something ha ha

I wasn't impressed with the mid-1990's Rockford movies. They just didn't have the charm of the original series. Plus Noah Beery (Rocky) had died. I have to admit I haven't bought any of the DVD's to that series, I still have some on VHS that I taped off of the television (re-runs) in the early-1990s. I'll eventually break-down and by the series.

I have season one but I find them difficult to watch more than one at a time, whereas I can watch as many episodes of the A-team as I have hours in the day ha ha.
