I took Judo and Karate from my Dad, who taught the police department. He learned the arts over seas. I then was the only teenager accepted into a Comprehensive Fighting Arts class with other Black Belts in other Arts, we learned Jeet Kune Do from Steve Ousley, his teacher was Dan Inasanto (Bruce Lees best friend). We had siminars at Muay Thai camp and Dan Inasanto was there... Savate, Filipino Stick fighting and Muay Thai.I took Aikido from the local police Dept. for awhile BUT my love for the Art overcame my devotion to Martial Arts. Pen is Mightier than the sword, lol! NOW i just punch/ Kick on the Heavy Bag to keep in shape. You certainly have a good history with the martial arts. It puts my meager two years of Hapkido to shame. I remember you saying something about Dan Inosanto. He's certainly a legend. I'd love to learn Jeet Kune Do and Aikido. Quite frankly I'd love to learn any art. Each martial art has something special. How's your Karate class going BG? When is your first belt test? Don't have a clue and it can't come soon enough cause I'm embarrassed wearing a white belt still. How do the belts rank, white, yellow, orange, green, blue, red, brown, black?

I'm not sure what the color stages are at my school? I am going to skip class tomorrow cause of the Redskins game, some things just take a priority over others.

BG, how's your Karate class going? Ah it's going alright and I'm learning new things and retraining my body to work totally different if fighting techiques. I only went twice last week and have only two classes this week but I'm alittle mad cause it's making me skip the gym and now I'm only going on Tuesday's. I have to put the Karate first cause I'm paying 159 a month compaired to 29 for the gym.

I haven't been able to return to my Tae Kwon Do for a few years. I just don't have the extra money. I do take a yoga class at the local YMCA about once a week. I pay as I go. I use the pool and weights too.

Swimming is so great for the body and I will get my share in mid January on my next Carnival cruise. Is Yoga a good workout or is it more on stretching?

It's great in building your core strength and for joint and muscle health. I now sell and deliver for a large bakery and I needed a good workout. When I worked at the car dealership as an administrator I didn't get much of a workout but I lost that job over a year ago and basically deliver bread all day. That killed my back early on but the yoga really helped. I do some weight training, but I'm not about bulking up. The yoga has been great

How's the Karate coming along BG? It's ok just a drag on my free time now. I've toned it down abit and have just been doing it twice a week now and going to poker on Wednesday which has been very hurting on my sleep time considering I got like 2 hours sleep the last time we played poker.
