BG, how many of your old Prismacolor markers are still working? They have to be close to ten years old. I have a few that old that are still working.

Not sure yet cause I only colored a YD pic recently but if I get back into the flow I'll be sure to find out which are trash. I know I need a scarlet red and tried to buy one last week but cost way too much my taste.

Since you probably use the same markers you wouldn't need a large lot. I've been doing that for years. I keep a supply of the ones I use and from time to time buy a few new colors if they interest me. BTW, Blick markers go for about $2.89, www.dickblick.com/products/prismacolor-premier-double-ended-art-markers/

I think if I get back into the flow and find that I need a handful of markers then I'll likely go this route. So far I only need a scarlet red but I'm not paying 6 bucks that Michaels is asking.

There is a good clearance sale on Mepxy markers on Dick Blick, www.dickblick.com/products/mepxy-brush-markers/ I bought a few recently and just reordered a bunch. Good quality pro markers. BTW, since you're drawing again, how are your markers BG?

A few of my markers are dried up and need replacement but I'm not exactly organized on which ones other than a scarlet lake that I need.

BG, do you draw anymore with your King Arthur stories? Did you got new markers? No more drawings, haven't drawn a pic in years now and those were the Ninjas I made, my markers are in storage and probably are all dried out by now, especially since they are over 15 years old now. My King Arthur stories are just for writing but I've gotten the concepts from my customs, unfortunately I haven't been putting anything down lately but the concepts are in my head and growing. It doesn't take much for me to be inspired and give birth to a cool concept. I have a set of customs that I won't likely show cause it's a concept that I plan on writing about.

Well I hope you consider drawing again. For about $100 you could get a good set of new markers and pens and be good for several years. It's hard to believe that the first drawing you shared here was that Royal Dragon piece in May 2004, sixteen years ago.

d**n sixteen years ago how times flies. I have no passion to draw anymore my customs, painting, writing, give me plenty of drive at the moment and help greatly to kill the boredom of being at home. It's not boring to be at home when you have a hobby you enjoy and I'm in that state.

I found out today while re-ordering new markers that they are discontinuing the Prismacolor markers. I have used this for twenty years and was surprised with this news as I thought they were popular. I have a healthy supply and same too with my Copics and Blick markers but a shame to see a familiar brand end.

Young people are doing art on tablets now drawing on paper may be a lost art soon.

Young people are doing art on tablets now drawing on paper may be a lost art soon. True. I have a tablet as well but never got use to the technology. They delay between mind, figures and computer bothered me. If my computer was stronger maybe that wouldn't have been an issue. Many of the artist I like still are old school paper and ink artist. My work is about 50/50 between the paper/ink/marker and the editing and enhancements with digital programs. BTW, any plans to share those images from your old sketchbook that dated prior to your 2004 involvement with the series? Were they colored?

If we ever got a positive working flow again then I would share that stuff I did but being realistic your fake Demons kills any of that hope. Also I don't know where my sketch books are at the moment. LOL

I'm giving you the opportunity. BTW, how many markers did you have at the height of your drawing? I could keep an eye on any large lots that come around.
