Just curious, did you ever buy any markers via Ebay? Funny you should mention that, I just won an auction yesterday for a 48 Prismacolor marker set for 55 bucks with S&H. Will that come with a silver color? If you know?

WOW, that's a sweet deal! I'm not sure if silver somes in the 48 pack. If I'm not mistaken, there are at least two silvers by Prismacolor. One has a broad end and the other has a finer end unlike most of the other 144 or so Prismacolor markers which have both ends on a single marker. Please let me know what you think of the markers when you get them . BTW, my Emperor Sanamoto piece has an example of the metallic silver (on his staff), www.commandomassacres.com/emperorsanamoto.html . It may be a little hard to get the full effect of the color on the web though. The originals usually look better.

Yeah I'll be sure to let you know, the deal seems to be pretty good because if I'm not mistaken they costed over 150.00 in the store. I see what you mean with your Emperor Sanamoto pic I just don't see the silver at all. I plan on coloring two pics when I get them(which I've drawn), I hope that one of them can be an entry for your contest. I Also plan on sending Cyd's nephew's pic soon!

Actually soon after I wrote you about the 48 set, I stopped by my local art store and looked at the 48 set. I didn't see silver in the set though but the the set does have a real good selection of colors. BTW, they retailed for $139.99 at an AC Moore, they're even higher elsewhere. The silver I have is different from the other markers in regards to the make-up of the marker itself. You will have to shake the marker up sorta like a spray paint can. They also have gold markers like this too. I rarely use this color, I don't think it makes for a good color for sword blades or metal object for that matter, mainly because of the metallic-like coloring. As always I look forward to the artwork submissions .

Me and Cyd have been busy tonight drawing so expect some more pics VERY SOON!!! ;D PS - The markers work great so smooth and no streaking almost like a paint brush. VERY NICE!!!

Glad you like your new markers. I'm curious, what type of paper are you using with these markers? I regularly use Strathmore 400 series drawing paper.

Actually I'm just using an old Mead Sketch book which I bought a CVS along time ago. The paper in it is heavyweight (80#) sketching paper that is versitle for most art purposes. Also it has some of my old art pics from 5 years back. Most of my old art from the 80's to early 90's were also done in similar sketch books in which I have, about four to be exact. Nothing great but at least I still have my old work.

I've been curious Bayushi Gemma, what markers have you used for your skin tone on you artwork? Right now I've only been using Prismacolor peach I really want to use something alittle darker, but don't really have anything with my set that blends with it. I might have to buy the 144 set if I can't find something at the store the next time I go. Have you been using any Prismacolor markers for flesh and if yes which? PS - I not looking forward to paying 4 bucks for each Prismacolor marker if I can find something.

The colors from Prismacolor that I use for flesh are Light Peach, Eggshell, Cream, Blond Wood, and Brick Beige. I also recently got a Deleter Neopiko Skin varient set of markers. I'll PM you some retailers that I shop from.

I made a mistake I meant light peach, Do you have the Primsacolor 144 set? Also are any of those other sets the same quality as prismacolor markers?

I actually like the Deleter Neopiko markers too but I have a very hard time finding them. I've also heard Copic markers are really good too but I only have a few of their multi liner pens. My only real grip with the Prismacolor markers is that their fine ends seem to dry out rather quickly. If you can master the broad end you've got it made for a while. I still have a black Prismacolor that I've used regularly for well over a year thats broad end is just starting to get dry. I don't know if your set has them but there is a slightly differant end on some of the Prismacolors which seem better. All in all the Prismacolors are still my favorite.

I've lent him my markers for most of his recent pics but he did use a cheap crayola marker for Eratic's dark blue, I don't think he plans on buying his own set of prismacolor markers.

Yesterday me and Cyd went to a Pearl art store and bought some supplies like fine line pens and we each got an art book. I got Let's Draw Manga Ninja & Samurai and from what I tell it looks like you based a couple of your pics from it.
