I'm curious BG, what part of drawing your artpieces takes you the longest, the penciling, the inking, or the coloring? For me I guess it's the penciling, I always have to stop and look the piece over several times before I go threw with the inking. Yes the penciling as well for me, but full picture coloring was a nightmare last time I tried it and the longest task. The inking seems to go pretty quick with me, maybe once or twice I messed up a piece slightly here or there but nothing too major.

Do you draw more than one art piece on each sheet of paper? I usually can get at least two pieces per 9"X12" unless it's really big.

Sounds like your saving paper or you don't have many toss aways. I only do one pic per sheet and lately it has been very bad.

How's your Prismacolor's holding up? Have you had any markers go dry?

You recently said that your art pad is fulled, have you bought a new one? If so, what is the size? I'm always going through these Stratmore 400's.

Well I recently bought another spiral sketch diary from Kmart for only 3.50 but it is in Medium weight drawing paper and all my old ones were in Heavy weight drawing paper. I did the Claudius piece in the new book and had to be really careful when coloring, it did bleed when I colored the feathers on him which I hardly ever have that problem with the heavyweight paper. When I find another heavyweight sketch book I'll be sure to get it but it looks like they discontinue selling them at Target.

Ah Prismacolor' markers. I had about 200 of 'em when I was in High School. Sadly my nephew "borrow" them and let them dry out. I think I still got a few arround some place. I loved to color with 'em because the way they blend with each other.

I guess between the Prismacolor, Pantone, Copic, and other misc. markers, I have about 200 or so, with some duplicate colors. Any reason why you gave them up?

They stop selling them were I bought 'em. By the time I started to work on my Criminal Justice BA I had almost no time to draw.

BG, did you get another grade of paper? I remember you didn't like your current pad.
Also, do you keep your art in any special place, such as a folder?

All of my art pieces are in a spiral binders and no I don't like the new binder that I have cause it is in medium weight paper which is alot weaker than the heavyweight paper I have always used. The medium paper bleeds too easy and breaks to easy when I erase and I've looked around for a heavyweight binder but can't find one. It appears that no company is interested in making a quality binder anymore.

Their 80lb. does well for me thus far, www.dickblick.com/zz103/16/

I may go this route if I continue not to find what I'm looking for.

I may go this route if I continue not to find what I'm looking for. Many of the arts/crafts stores carry these Strathmore pads. If you have a Micheal's, Dick Blick, AC Moore, or something like that, I'm sure they'd have them.
